CCM Extreme Flex E5.5 Junior Goalie Leg Pads

New for 2021, CCM continues to push the pace of innovation and design with the latest addition to the Extreme Flex franchise. This all new line brings together key revisions and new technology to take the Extreme Flex Line you know and love to the next level.

Starting off with the graphic of the CCM Extreme Flex E5.5 Junior Goalie Leg Pads, CCM has aimed to give a wide range of variety throughout the graphic with intersecting zones strategically placed to achieve unique designs both simple and complex. Similar to the A1.5 line, the E5.5 includes special zones with the all new UV Printed zones seen at the top inner zone and the lower outer zone. These zones allow the pad to be visually elevated by adding that little extra spice to an already top tier designed pad.

Additionally, the face of the pad features CCM’s all new Molded Knee Roll design which is designed to create stability through the knee area of the pad while achieving controllable rebounds around the knee area of the pad. The Molded Knee Roll works hand in hand with the visual design of the pad, giving the goaltender the choice to integrate or break up the design. Throughout the entire E5.5 Pad, you will find CCM’s proprietary “SpeedSkin” synthetic stamped material that creates a new level for style and function. It is design to perform the best out of all materials offered and is meant to increase the ease of sliding and glide that a goalie needs.

Internally, the CCM E5.5 features Dual1teCore Technology which promotes torsional flex to maximize movement on the goalie’s feet. Ultimately, there is a more consistent seal on the ice.

Flipping around to the inner edge, CCM has raised the inside edge with a Dual Density molded construction to create a better seal with the ice for more efficient cross-crease movements. Further back to the leg channel, an all new leg channel design adds more durability and design option through the middle of the pad. Returning for the strapping is CCM’s calf elastic strap that promotes a responsive connection between the goaltender and their pad that can be adjusted quickly. This strap sits across the back of the leg than connects via Velcro on the outside calf wrap.

Lastly, the knee lander is designed with a Nylon/PE Foam with raised inner edge stabilizers for a good seal to the ice with solid balance. Finally, down at the boot, a deep 90-degree boot with torsional flex and a bungee toe string system creates a lightweight profile with quicker transitions to the butterfly.
